Jen Yarrow

Bilingual Legal Assistant

Jen Yarrow is a bilingual legal assistant and has worked in the French property field since 2006, starting her career supporting solicitors and lawyers in the International Property department at Pannone LLP and subsequently at French Law Consultancy.  She has a wealth of experience dealing with notaires, banks, agents and utility companies in France in order to assist clients in their communications.

Jen lives near the Peak District and makes the most of the location to drag her family out on walks and cycle rides. She also enjoys sewing, architecture and holidaying in a classic 1970s campervan.

John lives in the Derbyshire Peak District with his wife and two energetic young boys.

John’s interests include nature, mountain biking and rock climbing. He loves all things French (…well, most things...) and spends time with his French and British family.

John Kitching LL.B (Hons) PGDipLP qualified as a bilingual UK Solicitor in 2002, and founded French Law Consultancy in 2010. He has worked as a bilingual Solicitor for the leading UK big players in French Property Law.

Education and Career

John Kitching studied Law and French LL.B (Honours) at Sheffield Hallam University and L’Université de Paris XII, followed by a year working two jobs (restaurant cleaner by day, French Market Researcher by night) to save up for Law School at the College of Law, York. John trained as a solicitor in York and Hull, then qualified into Wills Trusts and Estates. He moved to the Peak District and worked at a Gorvins Solicitors in Stockport where he set up the French Law department whilst working in UK Estate Planning Wills and Trusts. He was then headhunted by the International Property Department at Pannone Solicitors in Manchester. He acted as a French Law Consultant Solicitor for Heslop & Platt French Law Specialists for ten years, and for Ashtons.

John is an approachable, recognised expert with 18 years experience as a bilingual UK lawyer, helping clients with French Wills, French Estate Planning, French Inheritance, Complicated Inheritance, French Property, Powers of Attorney , Charities, and Sales of Property tied up in complicated estates.
